Hello! I'm Chelsea!

 

I am the owner and lead photographer here at Chelsea Jaquelyn Photography.

I began my photography journey at fourteen years old surrounded by darkness in a tiny room that wreaked of chemicals. Standing there in that darkroom watching images magically appear on paper quickly became my happy place. I was bummed when my high school decided to go digital but I sucked up, bought a DSLR, and started learning photoshop. By the time I had graduated high school I had taken every film and digital photography course they offered, been featured in a few galleries, and won a few awards. I even sold my first prints.

So I continued to pursue my love of photography in college and graduated in 2014 with a double major in Photography and Psychology. I started shooting weddings as a lead photographer in 2012 and have never looked back.

I like to say that I capture human moments. The big ones, the small ones, the happy ones, and the vulnerable ones. And it really is such an honor to be a part of those moments, to make those moments fun for you, and to give you something to relive them with.
